Thrown by hand from Brown Mountain and SRF clay and left raw — no glaze, just bare clay and the marks of the wheel. The bell is hand-carved into soft flower petals, cut into the surface after it came off the wheel. A solid brass chain and solid copper fin hang below; neither will ever rust, and both are left natural — fresh metal that will slowly deepen into a darkening patina as it weathers. The ring is soft and hollow, a quiet low note on a breeze. Bell and clapper measure 3" wide by 3.5" tall, with a 14" total drop from chain to fin. One of a kind, made once and never repeated.
