Wheel-thrown from Lava Rock clay and finished in a layering of Shino, Tweed Matte, and Opaque Blue glazes — a surface where warm, matte, and cool blue tones meet and break across the form. A solid brass chain and solid copper fin hang below; neither will ever rust, and both are left natural — fresh metal that will slowly deepen into a darkening patina as it weathers. The bell rings lively and bright — a clear, spirited note that carries on the wind. Bell and clapper measure 2.5" wide by 5" tall, with a 14" total drop from chain to fin. One of a kind, made once and never repeated.
