Wheel-thrown from Lava Rock clay and finished in Opaque Plum and Jungle glazes — a surface of deep plum and green that meet and break across the form. A solid brass chain and solid copper fin hang below; neither will ever rust, and both are left natural — fresh metal that will slowly deepen into a darkening patina as it weathers. The bell rings active and bright — a lively, spirited note that carries on the wind. Bell and clapper measure 3" wide by 6" tall, with a 16" total drop from chain to fin. One of a kind, made once and never repeated.
