Wheel-thrown from IM-60 clay and finished in a Shino glaze — a soft, warm surface with the gentle variation the glaze is known for. A solid brass chain and solid copper fin hang below; neither will ever rust, and both are left natural — fresh metal that will slowly deepen into a darkening patina as it weathers. The bell rings bright and dense — a clear, close note that carries on the wind. Bell and clapper measure 3.5" wide by 5" tall, with a 13" total drop from chain to fin. One of a kind, made once and never repeated.
